Services: Rehabilitate - Pipeline

Mainline Pipe Rehabilitation

National Liner® is a proven, cost-effective trenchless pipeline rehabilitation system that relies on the basic and well-known technology called cured-in-place pipe (CIPP). It is currently the most specified form of trenchless pipeline rehabilitation.

Made from non-woven polyester felt material, National Liner is saturated with a thermosetting resin. Once inserted into the pipe, it is expanded and cured, forming a smooth, continuous liner inside the pipe. It can be manufactured in wall thicknesses from 4.5 mm to 33.5 mm for pipe lines ranging from 6" to 120" in diameter and resin system can be altered to meet specific conditions found in industrial applications.

National Liner offers many advantages over its competitors. It is an economical rehabilitation method that can be done quickly, without the inconvenience and disruption of excavation. The liner can be installed either by standard inversion or the pull-in method.

One of National Liner's greatest strengths is that it controls the infiltration of groundwater, increases the effective capacity of mainlines and provides solutions to dangerous surface sinkholes and other sources of liability. Click here for an animation depicting a typical installation.

Upon completing the liner installation, our crews reinstate the service connections to the homes and businesses. Click here for a video of our cutting crew in action.

Lateral Pipe Rehabilitation

CLS is a complete “inside-out” lateral solution for sealing pipelines from inside the mainline and continuing out of the mainline up the existing lateral for 10, 20, 30, or more continuous feet.

National Liner's Complete Lateral System(CLS) is a flexible, no-dig pipe rehabilitation technology that can be applied to a wide variety of lateral systems. While designed to be installed prior to the CIPP lining of the mainline, our CLS can also be installed after mainline rehabilitation.

The technology behind the National Liner CLS, when installed prior to CIPP lining of the main, is the S COLLAR. This stainless steel collar is designed to protect our lateral liner against damage at the lateral joint that could be caused by the robotic cutter during reinstatement of the service connection. This is just one of the many quality assurance measures and attributes that have earned this technology approval by the WRC in 1999.

Among the trenchless lateral lining systems available in today's market-place, the National Liner CLS offers superior durability, hydraulic integrity, low energy consumption in the installation process, extended life to existing lateral lines, overall lower cost to dig and replace, and an end to I&I problems.

In addition to sealing the lateral connection at the mainline — the greatest chance for I/I in a sewer system — the new product provides a structural, one-piece CIPP rehabilitation of the entire lateral. The result is an effective solution that decreases installation costs and reduces project time. Click here to view Installation Brochure.
